Simon Pegg sports a Dark Bunny Tee - On the BIG SCREEN!

Ok, so I had to pause for a minute when I had an email from the head of marketing at Universal Pictures the other day. It was basically asking me if I was OK with Simon Pegg wearing my Jurassic Park inspired 'Hammond's Exotic Pet Store' t-shirt, as he and Nick Frost introduced VUE cinema goers to the 'PAUL' trailer.

I thought, Ok, Ok, I'll let it slide THIS time, but in future I may not be so forgiving! Please lace that last sentence with as much sarcasm as you can muster.

This truly is a dream come true and something I never thought I'd see. It's awesome.

So if you are heading out to the cinema in the next couple of weeks, head to the nearest VUE, as this intro is exclusive to them!

Topless Robot feature Gunner's Den tee!

This is a page I have been trying to get on for ages!..........

Geek Apparel of the Week: Dragon Charmer and Gunner's Den

• And whether you consider this a favor to TR's European readers or a punishment to American ones, the UK's Dark Bunny Tees has this fantastic Dawn of the Dead-inspired shirt, advertising the gun store from the Monroeville mall, as seen in the movie. My favorite part is that the family has been mildly munched on by zombies, but very subtly so -- it's easy to miss. It's 18 pounds, not counting shipping. If you want it, hurry --only 100 were made.

Many thanks to the guys at Topless Robot for the nod and to my bro-in-law Si for his love of all things Topless & Robotic.........(that didn't mean to sound as wrong as it does)

Charlie Higson sports the Gunner's Den t-shirt on Buzzcocks!

If you missed last nights Never Mind The Buzzcocks on BBC2, comedian Charlie Higson was wearing the Dawn of the Dead: Gunner's Den t-shirt that I actually gave him myself during his book signing in Norwich.

It was a great night for the Dawn tee as the Guru's of Geek, Topless Robot featured the design as on their 'Geek Apparel of the Week' page!

If you fancy the design yourself - Check it out HERE!

This double sided printed card is a replica of the card proudly displayed by Bateman in the movie. Ok, so I have added some blood smears on the front and the back, but hey - Bateman is a murdering psycho!

So if you fancy getting your hands on one of these shirts, they are currently available as a pre-order, but as I say, the prints are now in and I will be sending these out ASAP!

A New Dark is here!

Dark Bunny Tees has had a bit of a make-over!

The site needed darkening up, so here is the new look, apocalyptic Dark Bunny Tees Drive In.

It signifies a more mature bunny (if you can call cramming an alien invasion, zombie outbreak, meteor storm and creepy crows into the home page 'mature') The last couple of months have been a huge wake-up call for me. If you read my blog or follow my antics elsewhere, you will be aware that I have recently experienced some delays at print. This was a very frustrating period in the life of Dark Bunny and there are still a few outstanding orders, so I apologise if you are still waiting for your shirts) However I have learned from this and am now doing my best to smooth out operations and ensure that these delays never happen again. This is what kind of spawned the tagline;

"...When it all hits the fan, you may as well look your best..."

As you may know, I work alone and from my front room, so printing will still be out of my control, but I hope to maintain stock levels as best I can and keep a rolling stock order at print.

So here it is - The New Dark

An apology to those awaiting t-shirts!

I've been having a few teething problems recently, especially with getting to grips with ensuring I have enough stock to cater for you guys!

You could say I was a little unprepared for the response to my ads in Total Film & SFX and without the ability to print in house, instead relying on a independent printers who do have other client commitments, some customers have had to wait for their orders.

I realise this situation has to change and I am currently working towards ensuring that I can get orders to people ASAP, without having to wait weeks!

This may take a little time to smooth over, but believe me I am on it - Hence stalling the release of any new designs recently.

I really do apologise to those who have had to wait and I can only thank you for your patience.

If you can't read the above image properly, after the initial Shining style breakdown I've been having over this, it says;

"An apology from Alex at Dark Bunny Tees

May I first thank you for purchasing from me.

I am truly sorry if you have encountered any delays receiving your item and I really do appreciate your patience.

Having started Dark Bunny Tees in October 2009 I am still a relatively young company and am literally one man working from his front room.

Without the ability to print in-house I have to use an
independent printer who, while amazing at what they do, also have other client commitments and this has caused delays in re-printing some of my designs. For this I apologise.

The past few months have revealed some flaws in my operation and these are being addressed ASAP so that these lengthy delays are minimised & eventually eradicated.

At the end of the day, I have been overwhelmed, if not
ill-prepared for the fantastic response from you guys.

Customer service is my top priority and if you have suffered a lengthy wait for your apparel then I do hope that it has not put you off shopping with Dark Bunny Tees again.

Again, my deepest apologies and greatest thanks

Alex"

Dark Bunny Needs You - Photo Competition Press Advert

Finally, here is the advert that will appear in Total Film, SFX, Comic Heroes & DVD and Blu Ray Review!

Composed of the 5 winners of the Dark Bunny Tees photo competition set way back in February, I think you'll agree that this will look stunning in full-page print!

I can not thank you enough for all of your entries and to the winners;

Jodie Gardiner (First Place), Malc Foy, Tom Webster, Mark Cox & Andy Bell.

The effort and hard work really means a lot to me and I hope you like the ad!

Look out for it in upcoming issues of the mags mentioned - Because of the very early print deadlines, it will most likely be the September / October issues!

Dark Bunny Tees - Photo Competition Winners!

Hurrah!! I know it's been a long time coming, but I thought due to the horrendous delays I had a print, extending the deadline by a month was the fairest thing to do.

Well - The wait is over and I can announce the results!

FIRST PRIZE: JODIE GARDINER

A hell of a lot of planning went into the shoot of this AWESOME pic. Roping in a load of his mates, fantastic attire related to each movie t-shirt worn AND the construction of an Alien Chestburster machine to create the perfect action shot. Also, with the photoshop work done to bring it all together I think you'll agree these guys are worthy winners! Jodie wins: 1 x T-Shirt a month for 12 months Photo featured in an ad campaign SFX, TOTAL FILM, COMIC HEROES & DVD/BLU RAY MAGAZINE (Sept or October Issues) PLUS: His t-shirt design created as a limited edition DBT Well done Jodie!!!

RUNNERS UP (Who each win a place in the ad campaign AND a t-shirt a month for a year)

Malc Foy: Raiders of The Lost Tee
Cloning himself to appear in both the Sadako & Baseball Furies tees in the SAME photo, Malc spoofs the Idol/Bag O' Sand switch moment - He risks death by big ball for the much more valuable Dark Bunny Tee VHS packaging

Andy Bell: Bunny Spotting
Andy just scraped his entry in at the last minute, but what a fantastic image. Recreating the iconic Trainspotting image - Just amazing!!!

Tom Webster: Shaun of the Dread & Sore!
Tom and his dad Chris sent me loads of fantastic entries from a variety of movies. These were my faves and the effort these guys went to was outstanding!

Mark Cox - My witness, the Trooper
Special props goes to Mark Cox as, for one, I couldn't get his Star Wars t-shirt in time for his holiday. What he didn't tell me was that he was heading off to Tunisia to do the Star Wars tour AND get married in one of the locations IN a Dark Bunny Tees BTTF t-shirt.

Gutted it couldn't have been the Meet the SkyWalkers tee, but I hope this makes up for it Mark. I'll be doing a little write up on this uber cool situation later on.

I'll be getting touch with all winners ASAP, to get some more info from you - Just so I can big you all up in the ads!
